Alabama-Ole Miss delivered big ratings for ESPN
Alabama at Ole Miss was a ratings winner for ESPN.
The Crimson Tide’s 63-48 win over the Rebels drew 4.9 million viewers for ESPN. It was ESPN’s most-viewed Alabama game since UA vs. Mississippi State in 2017.
The first Lane Kiffin vs. Nick Saban game since Kiffin was Saban’s offensive coordinator (2014-16) was sure to be a draw for those outside the two fanbases. (Kiffin and Saban previously faced off in 2009 in the Alabama-Tennessee rivalry.)
Kiffin’s Rebels entered the game as 24-point underdogs but hung with Alabama in a high-scoring affair from start to finish.
Kiffin’s Rebels are on ESPN2 this weekend, taking on Sam Pittman’s Arkansas Razorbacks. CBS will air this week’s Alabama-Georgia in primetime.
