Alabama releases hype video before home opener
Alabama released a hype video for its home opener against Western Kentucky Saturday. The video shows highlights of the Tide’s home games from last season, as well as shots of Bryant-Denny Stadium being prepared for this week’s matchup.

Bryant-Denny Stadium has served as Alabama’s home stadium since 1929. It holds a seating capacity of 101,821, which is the seventh largest stadium in the United States and the eighth largest in the world.
Alabama is coming off a 52-6 win against USC at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The Tide recorded 465 total yards, including 223 passing and 242 rushing.
Western Kentucky defeated Rice 46-14 in Week 1. The Hilltoppers finished the 2015 season with a 12-2 (8-0 Conference USA) record and ranked No. 24 overall in the final AP Poll.
Georgia hypes up a victory over a basketball school and if Alabama don’t come behind them and hype a game against an ex-OVC school.
You can’t make this stuff up.
We’re hyping up the fact that we’re playing at home for the first time this season, moron.
You know it’s really interesting how the Vols act out. I have respect for the SEC teams as a whole, I pulled for LSU in their loss and I pulled for Auburn in their loss. I when Alabama doesn’t make it in to the playoffs I still pull the the SEC favorite. We support each other however, Tennessee doesn’t seem to feel the same about the rest of the SEC. They were at the game in Arlington for SC vs Bama and actually went out on the field and supported USC (as if a loss would have helped them any vs Bama when that time comes) but they were completely dissing the SEC and themselves. I don’t support the Vols anymore for any reason — you’re on your own maybe the Big 10 would be a better place for them…
Don’t care, don’t need your support. Yes, I support the majority of the SEC, but have never supported anything Alabama, and never will.
What’s wrong with hyping up the first home game of the season? At least Alabama and Georgia have teams worth hyping unlike Tennessee who will be singing rocky flop again this season. Seems to me Tennessee should’ve paid more attention to their hype video before almost falling to Appalachian State.
What’s wrong is that it is gross to spend money on a hype video when you can be serving the community. That’s the problem here buddy. Don’t you get it? It’s all a big circle. When we begin to rely on material needs we begin to lesser ourselves in life’s values, which is a damn shame. That’s the problem, and the point that I’m trying to convey here is that Alabama is going to win the game anyway.
So maybe you should petition the LSU admins to prevent them from doing hype videos as well…..How many have they done this year so far?
You do realize the people who create these hype videos are on staff at the schools just for this purpose. The making of the hype videos doesn’t cost that much, and it’s part of their jobs as well as making tape for recruits to watch. Whether or not they are going to win a game isn’t the point, they are promoting the first home game of the season. Pumping up the crowd!
