Alex Tchikou was a 4-star member of Alabama’s 2021 recruiting class, but never managed to crack the rotation much last season.

This offseason, he decided to enter the NCAA transfer portal to explore his options ahead of the 2022-23 campaign, and now it appears he’s made a decision.

Tchikou, a 6-11, 200-pound big man, took to Twitter on Sunday morning to reveal he was committing to new coach Archie Miller and the Rhode Island Rams:

Tchikou appeared in 3 games for the Tide last season. In those games, he played a total of 5 minutes, going 0-for-2 from the floor and grabbing 4 rebounds.

We’ll see if he’s able to carve out a bigger role this coming season at Rhode Island.
