Bryce Young has notched his first touchdown of his NFL career.

The former Alabama quarterback connected with Hayden Hurst on a short pass that tied the game in the second quarter. The Carolina Panthers and Atlanta Falcons are evened up at 7 apiece halfway through the second quarter.

Unfortunately for Young, he might not get the ball from his first touchdown as Hurst ended up heaving it into the stands for his celebration.

Young has 86 passing yards and a touchdown on 10-for-13 passing, but he’s also thrown one interception.

The Panthers are putting their trust in Young, who they drafted first overall, early. Along with being named a starter, Young was also named a team captain despite his rookie status.

Young spent 3 seasons at Alabama, notching 8,356 yards and 80 touchdowns throughout his career. He also won the Heisman Trophy Award in 2021.
