Former Alabama wide receiver DeAndrew White is looking for a new NFL home. White was one of the players cut by the Carolina Panthers on Sunday.
White has been in the NFL since 2015, first joining the San Francisco 49ers as an undrafted free agent. As a rookie, he appeared in 4 games, logging 2 catches for 18 yards and contributing on special teams.
White was on the practice squad for the New England Patriots in 2016, a season they won the Super Bowl. After being waived in the 2017 offseason, White signed with the Houston Texas. White appeared in 2 games for the Texans, recording a 24-yard reception.
White was briefly a member of the Denver Broncos in 2018 before signing to the Carolina Panthers’ practice squad. The Panthers promoted White to the active roster on Oct. 22, 2019. This past season, White appeared in 10 games, tallying 4 catches for 51 yards and logging 10 returns for 226 yards.
In his NFL career, White has appeared in 16 games, totaling 7 catches for 93 yards.
