Chris Braswell is moving on from Alabama after accomplishing his goals in Tuscaloosa.

In a note posted on Instagram, Braswell said he is declaring for the 2024 NFL Draft after earning his Alabama degree and being part of a Crimson Tide national championship in 2020.

“Throughout my tenure at UA, l’ve achieved my primary goals of winning a national championship and, above all, earning my degree,” Braswell wrote. “Along the way, I’ve forged lifelong bonds and crafted indelible memories. However, it’s now time for me to embark on a new chapter. I’m excited to announce my decision to declare for the 2024 NFL Draft.”

Braswell was at Alabama for four seasons but had remaining eligibility. He did not log any game action in 2020, but contributed in 40 contests over the past 3 seasons.

Though Alabama fell short of picking up another national title, Braswell leaves on an individual high note. The veteran edge defender had his most productive season, posting career highs of 42 tackles with 10.5 TFLs and 8 sacks. Braswell also had his first career interception and pass breakup in the 2023 season.

Braswell is the third Alabama player since the Rose Bowl to declare for the NFL Draft, joining Dallas Turner and JC Latham.
