College GameDay reveals guest picker for Week 2
College GameDay is gearing up for Week 2, and ESPN’s popular Saturday morning pre-game show will be live from Tuscaloosa this weekend.
On Thursday, College GameDay revealed the selection for this week’s guest picker. NFL Hall of Famer and former Crimson Tide star Joe Namath will fill the role this weekend ahead of the big-time matchup.

Namath suited up for the program during the early 1960s and finished his Alabama career with 39 total touchdowns. He would go on to win an AFL Championship and a Super Bowl in the NFL to go with 5 Pro Bowls.
Saturday morning should be the perfect setting to get Tuscaloosa raring for a big-time game. The Longhorns and Crimson Tide will face off in a rematch of last year’s early-season thriller from Austin where Bryce Young led a game-winning drive.
This week’s broadcast will be the 17th all-time trip for College GameDay to Tuscaloosa and the first for the program since the 2020 season for the Iron Bowl. It will be Alabama’s 55th total appearance on GameDay, the second-most of any team.
Kickoff for Saturday’s top-15 showdown is set for 7 pm ET on ESPN.
