Alabama RB Damien Harris ran for a whopping 8.2 yards per carry this season, but he only received 110 carries, racking up 906 yards and 11 touchdowns.

That led to speculation that perhaps the talented junior should have received the ball more often, but as the Crimson Tide prepare for the Sugar Bowl against Clemson on New Year’s Day, he said he’s not sweating his workload.

Harris said he’s happy to do what’s best for the team, adding that coach Nick Saban seems to know how to put a successful team together (via 247Sports):

“It’s not hard not to think that way because, like I said, when you have the trust and the faith and the belief that the coaches are going to do whatever’s best for our team, then it’s not really hard to not question what’s going on,” Harris said. “It doesn’t really matter what people think, who should get the ball, what we should run on offense.

“I mean no offense, but I think Coach Saban knows what he’s doing. He’s been here building this for a while and he’s had a lot of success. So, I think that what he says is probably what’s best for this team, and I guess we’ll just go from there.”

Whatever happens in the College Football Playoff semifinal, Harris will play a huge role for the Crimson Tide.

However, whether he does his damage on 10 carries or 20 carries remains to be seen, but Harris is fresh right now and could be ready for a huge postseason.
