Derrick Henry appears to be on his way back to the Tennessee Titans.

The Titans on Wednesday moved the former Alabama star to the team’s “Designated for Return from Injured Reserve” list, which clears his return to practice. That means there’s a 21-day window for Henry to practice with the team, and he will not count against the team’s 53-man roster until being activated from Injured Reserve, the Titans reported.

Henry suffered a foot injury in the team’s Oct. 31 game against the Colts, and he’s missed the last 8 games.

He was in the midst of another incredible season for the Titans that was cut short in 8 games in 2021, Henry has totaled 937 rushing yards and 10 rushing touchdowns on 219 attempts, along with 18 receptions for 154 yards to give him a total of 1,091 scrimmage yards.

Last season, Henry was named the Associated Press NFL Offensive Player of the Year after he rushed 378 times for 2,027 yards and 17 touchdowns.
