Things haven’t been going to well in Chicago over in the NFL this season.
And things just got a lot worse for bears fans (or better, depending on how you look at draft positioning). Star safety Eddie Jackson, a former Alabama standout, will miss the rest of the season with a Lisfranc injury he suffered Sunday against the New York Jets.
The unfortunate news was confirmed by Bears head coach Matt Eberflus Wednesday.

Jackson had been playing well this season after struggling in 2021. He’s totaled 59 tackles, 2 forced fumbles, 1 tackle for loss and 4 interceptions so far for the Bears in a decent, but young secondary unit.
Jackson was selected 112th overall in the 2017 NFL Draft by the Bears.
