Former first-round NFL Draft pick D.J. Fluker has signed a one-year contract with the New York Giants, according to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo.

Fluker, the former Chargers tackle and guard, will be swapping coasts, and the reported amount for the contract is $3 million.

The former Alabama tackle started all 16 games in 2016 before being let go Tuesday. By signing Fluker, the Giants addressed their most pressing need along the offensive line. He’ll be blocking for Eli Manning, and the Giants are absolutely a Super Bowl contender.

After playing right tackle his first two years with the Chargers, Fluker moved to right guard for the last two seasons, and he’ll most likely play on the right side of the offensive line for the Giants. He was set to make $8.821 million on his fifth-year rookie contract option in 2017.

Fluker was a first-team All-SEC player and second-team All-American at Alabama in 2012. He was drafted by the Chargers as the No. 11 overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft.
