Former Alabama OL William Vlachos has been in the coaching ranks for a few years now.

Vlachos was part of Alabama’s 2010 and 2012 national championship squads and was an All-SEC selection in 2011. He went undrafted in the 2012 NFL Draft, playing briefly for the Tennessee Titans before starting his coaching career.

He spent the 2013-17 seasons on Nick Saban’s Alabama staff, and now he’s reportedly reuniting with his former offensive coordinator. Per ESPN’s Chris Low, Vlachos is joining Jim McElwain’s Central Michigan staff as the OL coach:

After leaving Alabama following the 2017 season, Vlachos served as a Buffalo Bills coaching assistant in 2018. From 2019 to 2021, he was an assistant on the Colorado staff.

Now, he has his first on-field role, working for a familiar face in McElwain.
