Quinnen Williams and the New York Jets are on a roll in 2022, currently sitting at 5-2 and having won their last 4 games.

The Jets have been one of the NFL’s worst franchises for the last several years, their last winning season coming in 2015 (10-6) and their last playoff appearance coming in the 2010 season when they lost their 2nd straight AFC championship game. They’ve already eclipsed their win total from the last 2 seasons and have a chance to get their 6th win —as many as 2020 and 2021 combined—when they play the New England Patriots on Oct. 30.

Williams has been a key part of the Jets’ play this season. The former Alabama star, picked 3rd overall in 2019, currently has 5 sacks and is well on his way to passing the career high of 7 he recorded in 2020. Among all defensive tackles, he has had 29 quarterback pressures which, as you can see below, leads the league:

Williams was one of the top defensive linemen in the country while with the Crimson Tide. It looks as if that same quality of play is continuing to carry over in the NFL.
