A week ago, Alabama WR Chadarius Townsend entered the NCAA transfer portal after 3 years in Tuscaloosa.

It apparently didn’t take him much time to figure out where he wanted to play next, as he announced his decision on Tuesday night.

As you can see below, Townsend took to Instagram on Tuesday night to reveal that he’d be spending the 2020 season with the Texas Tech Red Raiders:

Townsend appeared in 5 games for the Crimson Tide in 2019, mostly on special teams. While he didn’t make any catches, he did run the ball 8 times for 22 yards.

Coming out of high school as part of the 2017 recruiting class, Townsend was a 4-star athlete. He was the No. 175 overall player in the class, per the 247Sports composite rankings.
