The Alabama Crimson Tide were assigned a noon kickoff time for their Week 4 matchup against Southern Miss, and they were not happy.

AD Greg Byrne and president Stuart R. Bell released a strong statement saying they were unhappy with the time slot.

That didn’t sit well with FOX analyst Joel Klatt, who ripped the Tide on Twitter for not heading out on any nonconference road games:

Of course, that will change in the coming years, as Alabama has home-and-home series scheduled with teams like Texas, Wisconsin, West Virginia, Notre Dame and Oklahoma.

Will the TV networks cave and give the Tide a more desirable time slot? We’ll have to wait and see.
