With the 2020 season winding down, it’s almost time for Heisman Trophy voters to cast their ballots for the prestigious award.

On Wednesday evening, former Heisman winner and current FOX analyst Matt Leinart broke down his top 5 candidates.

As you can see in the video below, he has Alabama QB Mac Jones at No. 3, Florida QB Kyle Trask at No. 2 and, at the top of his list, Alabama WR DeVonta Smith:

“I know this has been a quarterback award in the past, but (Smith) has been the best player in college football all season long — 83 catches, almost 1,400 yards receiving, 17 total touchdowns,” Leinart said. “He has all of the tools in the tool bag to not only be a great receiver in college football, which he is, but also at the next level.”

Leinart had Iowa State RB Breece Hall at No. 5 and Clemson QB Trevor Lawrence at No. 4 on his list.
