Henry To’o To’o knows what it’s like to be an incoming transfer to Alabama, and so he knows a little bit of what Eli Ricks is going through.

Ricks, the LSU transfer, has asked To’o To’o plenty of questions about the process, and the linebacker said, “Just come in and work,” and added that it’s key to stay who you are but adapt to the program’s culture.

About Ricks overall, To’o To’o said the cornerback is, “Definitely talented. He works really, really hard. He’s in the training room 24/7, so it’s the little things like that.”

Ricks, a former 5-star recruit, considered 4 schools as potential landing spots, including Ohio State, USC and Georgia. Ricks played in 6 of LSU’s games last season before an injury shortened his season. He made one interception to go with one pass breakup. He picked off 4 passes and is expected to be an early-round selection in the 2023 NFL Draft.

In terms of his own situation, To’o To’o shared that losing the national title game was a driving force in his return, and he wants to go out on a high note.

To’o To’o is among the Alabama leadership group this season, which includes DJ Dale, Bryce Young, Jordan Battle and Will Anderson .
