Jahmyr Gibbs is solidifying himself to be in a strong position as the RB2 in this year’s NFL Draft behind Texas’ Bijan Robinson.

According to odds from Draft Kings, Gibbs is a -330 favorite to be the second running back drafted. Others in the mix next to the Alabama running back are UCLA’s Zach Charbonnet, whose odds are at +330. Everyone else is an extreme long shot; Tulane’s Tyjae Spears and Texas A&M’s Devon Achane are next at +3000.

Gibbs played 2 seasons at Georgia Tech and 1 season at Alabama and had a big performance at the NFL Combine.

At Alabama, Gibbs started 11 of the 12 games and was the Crimson Tide’s leading rusher last season with 926 yards and 7 touchdowns on 151 carries. He also caught a team-high 44 passes and turned them into 444 yards and 3 more scores.

But perhaps Gibbs’ best trait is in the passing game, in the NFL these days, it’s running backs like Gibbs who can extend their career by being valuable in the passing game.
