Jalen Milroe and Alabama are on the path to redemption.

Milroe led a 9-play, 75-yard drive to put Alabama up 7-0 on South Carolina on Saturday afternoon. The drive, which lasted exactly 4 minutes, was punctuated with a 1-yard Milroe rushing touchdown on 3rd and goal.

Here’s a replay of the final play of the drive:

Milroe completed 3-of-3 passes for 63 yards on the drive. Cole Adams and Germie Bernard both had 30-yard receptions on the opening drive against the Gamecocks.

This was Milroe’s 10th rushing touchdown of the season. He’s nearing a career-high in that category, as he had 12 in 2023 in his first year as Alabama’s starter.

It’s a strong start, particularly since Alabama had a bad result for its opening drive last week in the loss to Vanderbilt. Milroe threw a pick-6 against the Commodores to start the game last weekend.

Kalen DeBoer and Alabama are looking to bounce back from that stunning defeat with a big performance against South Carolina. The Crimson Tide were favored by more than 3 touchdowns over the Gamecocks on Saturday.

Alabama is 11-4 all-time against South Carolina.
