Jalen Milroe is not amongst the 4 finalists for the 2023 Heisman Trophy.

LSU’s Jayden Daniels, Oregon’s Bo Nix, Washington’s Michael Penix Jr. and Ohio State’s Marvin Harrison Jr. all made the cut over Milroe.

Harrison’s inclusion over Milroe is somewhat of a surprise given the Alabama quarterback’s performance against Georgia on Saturday and in the second half of the 2023 season.

Milroe was a big part of Alabama snapping Georgia’s 29-game winning streak in the SEC Championship Game on Saturday. He’s averaged over 10 yards per attempt through the air this season and is responsible for 35 total touchdowns. Meanwhile, Harrison had a relatively-quiet November — he failed to surpass 30 receiving yards in 2 of Ohio State’s 4 games last month.

Alabama’s last Heisman Trophy winner was Bryce Young back in 2021. This will be the second straight year that Alabama will not have a finalist at the Heisman Trophy ceremony in New York City.
