Jaylen Waddle jokes about his mom calling him out for being tackled by Texas A&M punter
On Saturday in College Station, it was Alabama WR Jaylen Waddle’s turn to have a big game. Against Texas A&M, he had 3 catches for 48 yards and a touchdown. He also added an impressive 128 yards on 4 punt returns.
One of those punt returns nearly went for a touchdown, but A&M punter Braden Mann managed to help slow Waddle down.
On Monday, Waddle said his mom was giving him a hard time about getting tackled by a punter:

“She was kinda serious, though,” Waddle says. “But it’s all good. My mom’s my biggest critic.”
Here’s a look at the punt return in question:
#Alabama WR Jaylen Waddle has superhuman athleticism. This kid is special and can easily be a WR1 in today’s NFL on the right team. His landing spot will offer a wide variance of outcomes for him but I’m a believer in the talent #devy pic.twitter.com/EwxTEJjpIH

Yes, Mann helped with the tackle, but it was another player who got it started. We’ll give Waddle a pass on this one.
