Alabama is preparing for the Sugar Bowl against Clemson, but as is common in college football, the coaches must also work on recruiting during the buildup to the College Football Playoff semifinal game.

That creates an awkward situation for Alabama DC Jeremy Pruitt, who was recently hired as Tennessee’s new head coach.

Though Pruitt said he hasn’t had many conflicts while working with the Crimson Tide staff, he did recall an awkward moment during a staff meeting on Thursday:

Pruitt makes a great point — all the nation’s top teams recruit the same players generally, so nothing super-confidential was probably revealed during the discussion.

However, it is probably a good thing that Alabama’s assistants are starting to be a bit more secretive about what information they share with the outgoing coordinator.
