Jordan Battle, All-SEC Alabama DB, shares plans for 2022 season
Jordan Battle picked up first-team All-SEC recognition in his third season at Alabama, and he’ll be back for another year in Tuscaloosa. Battle shared the news Friday on his Instagram account.
A bolded portion of Battle’s note reads “The job is not done yet,” a message similar to an “unfinished business” line found in return announcements from D.J. Dale, Henry To’o To’o and DeMarcco Hellams.
Battle was named a first-team All-America by Pro Football Focus, a publication not counted for consensus or unanimous All-American honors. CBS Sports named Battle a second-team All-American while the Associated Press named him to its third team for 2021.
Battle tied for the Alabama team lead in interceptions with 3 on the year. The junior strong safety had 87 tackles on the year.
With Battle joining the other juniors in passing on the NFL Draft, Alabama’s defense looks strong for 2022.
