Jordan Rodgers was asked about his expectations for Alabama coming out of the spring game, and like many, the ESPN analyst pointed to the quarterback situation.

“My gut reaction is that they need to figure out the quarterback position,” Rodgers said on WJOX’s “McElroy and Cubelic In the morning.” “I do think they’re going to add somebody in the transfer portal. Whether it’s somebody like ‘This is our starter, we went and got our starter.’ I don’t know if that guy’s even going to be available. I don’t know if there’s a guy even out there that would walk in and be like, ‘He’s going to be our guy.’ I think they’ll add somebody, whether it’s for depth or it’s a guy they think can come in and compete in summer and fall.”

Rodgers pivoted to LSU, and how the Tigers with Jayden Daniels and the wide receivers are only improving, and Ole Miss will be talented.

Rodgers said Nick Saban’s minimum expectation is to “value the football” and not turn it over.

“I did leave that going, ‘They are built like a championship team everywhere that I saw,’ especially on the offensive side of the ball, around that quarterback position,” Rodgers said, and added that there’s plenty of talent at QB, but also enough mistakes to lose 1 or 2 games, like last season.
