It doesn’t appear that Julio Jones will be around when the Falcons begin their organized team activities in Atlanta.

While that’s somewhat to be expected, according to NFL Network’s insider Ian Rapoport, Jones is seeking an update to his current contract. Jones, arguably the NFL’s best receiver, is scheduled to make $10.5 million for the 2018 season. According to Rapoport, the Falcons are open to the possibility of reworking his deal.

Jones played in 16 games for the Falcons last season, catching 88 passes for 1,444 yards and three touchdowns. He was named First-Team All-Pro following the 2015 and 2016 seasons.

Atlanta’s OTAs are set to begin May 21 and run thru June 7. Minicamp begins June 12 for the team.
