Kalen DeBoer offers update on health status of Kadyn Proctor
Kalen DeBoer got off to a great start as the head coach of Alabama this past week, as the Crimson Tide defeated Western Kentucky by a score of 63-0. The defense was as dominant as ever, and the offense looked explosive.
Quarterback Jalen Milroe threw for 200 yards and 3 touchdowns while rushing for another 79 yards and 2 more scores. Freshman receiver Ryan Williams had 2 catches for 139 yards and 2 touchdowns, showing he could be the next superstar wideout for Alabama.
One guy that was missing from the offense was sophomore tackle Kadyn Proctor, who missed the game after sustaining a shoulder injury during warmups. The good news is it does not sound like Proctor will be out with a long-term problem.
When asked about Proctor’s injury on Monday, DeBoer described it as a “shoulder situation.”
Kalen DeBoer said left tackle Kadyn Proctor has a "shoulder situation."
"It's one that we will be able to manage. So that's a positive. It'll be something that, as we go through the week, we'll continue to evaluate."

“It’s one that we will be able to manage,” DeBoer told reporters. “So that’s a positive. It’ll be something that, as we go through the week, we’ll continue to evaluate.”
Proctor is one of the best young tackles in the country and having him healthy is only going to make this team even more dangerous.
Alabama will look to move to 2-0 as they host South Florida next Saturday. These two teams played last year, and it was the changing point in the season for the Crimson Tide. Alabama won 17-3, but it was tied at 3 deep into the third quarter before the Crimson Tide were able to pull away.
