Kam Dewberry entered the transfer portal after 3 solid seasons on Texas A&M’s offensive line.
On Saturday, Dewberry, who has one year of eligibility remaining, announced his commitment to Alabama. He posted his decision to X:
A 4-star recruit from the Houston area, Dewberry was considered a top 100 player and the No. 3 interior offensive lineman in the class of 2022. He was an immediate contributor for the Aggies, playing in seven games and starting five times. As a sophomore, he played in every game, splitting time at both left and right guard. In 2024, he again played in every game.
Now Dewberry is headed to Alabama, a program set to enter its second season under Kalen DeBoer. The Crimson Tide, who finished the regular season at 9-3 and missed out on the 12-team College Football Playoff field, will face Michigan in the ReliaQuest bowl on Dec. 31.
The Tide now have another veteran presence within their OL room, a player that they hope will play a key part in getting them back to the Playoff amid a push for a national championship. Dewberry joins defensive linemen Kelby Collins and Cameron Calhoun among Alabama’s incoming transfers for 2025.
