Kirk Herbstreit says Texas is 'talented, motivated,' while Alabama 'will learn from this'
Kirk Herbstreit was on the call for the Texas-Alabama game and after the Longhorns pulled the upset, the ESPN broadcaster shared his thoughts on social media.
“Good for (Texas), this is a talented-motivated-and tight knit football team,” Herbstreit wrote, and later added that coach Steve Sarkisian’s culture of aggression, mental toughness and resiliency is very evident.”
As for Alabama, Herbstreit said the Crimson Tide will “learn from this and get a lot better.”

Quinn Ewers led the Longhorns with 349 passing yards and 3 TDs to power No. 11 Texas to a 34-24 victory over No. 3 Alabama as Texas tries to claw back into national title contention.
Other noteworthy developments were that Alabama had its 21-game home winning streak snapped along with a 57-game regular-season binge against nonconference teams that dated to Nick Saban’s first season in Alabama, 2007.
