Alabama LB Mack Wilson undergoes surgery, DL Da'Shawn Hand absent
Alabama signee Mack Wilson, the No. 2 OLB for 2016, had successful surgery on his left shoulder.
One of the Crimson Tide’s gems in this year’s recruiting class realized just a couple weeks ago that he had a torn labrum that he played with for at least two years at Carver High School in Montgomery, Ala.
On Wednesday afternoon, Wilson tweeted this out while wearing a sling, and apparently the procedure went fine.
Your boy surgery went great.. I love you all and thanks for the prayers & one last thing #RollTide ??? pic.twitter.com/6i9EEiKxSk

Wilson has been on record saying that he expects to need 3-4 months of recovery.
Meanwhile, it was reported by Alex Byington of TimesDaily/Decatur Daily that Alabama junior defensive lineman Da’Shawn Hand was absent from practice on Wednesday. It isn’t clear why Hand was sidelined.
Byington also reported that safety Eddie Jackson was no longer wearing the black, no-contact jersey at practice on Wednesday as he looks to be recovering from what coach Nick Saban said was a leg issue.
