The last two seasons, the Washington Redskins used their first-round picks on former Alabama defensive linemen — Da’Ron Payne this year and Jonathan Allen last year.

They’ve also picked up a pair of former Alabama linebackers later in the drafts, with Ryan Anderson in the second round in 2017 and Shaun Dion Hamilton in the sixth round this year.

On Tuesday, the Redskins had some fun with that, tweeting out an image of the four ex-Tide players and welcoming a #RollTide reunion to the nation’s capital:

There are worse strategies than stockpiling Alabama defenders, as Nick Saban has put together some incredible defenses over the years.

Now, it’ll be up to them to turn the Redskins’ defense into one of the NFC’s best, as they must face the defending-champion Philadelphia Eagles twice a year.
