Mack Wilson has been with the Cleveland Browns since he was taken in the fifth round of the 2019 NFL Draft.

But, the former Alabama linebacker has battled injuries during his short career thus far. However, when he’s on the field, he has been effective.

Now, it appears he’s heading to a new team for Year 4 in the NFL. Per NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, Wilson has been traded by the Browns to the New England Patriots for Chase Winovich:

In 43 career games (28 starts), Wilson has recorded 163 total tackles (5 for a loss), 1 sack, 9 pass breakups, an interception and a forced fumble.

Plenty of former Crimson Tide standouts call New England home, including former Alabama QB Mac Jones. We’ll see what sort of role Wilson carves out for himself on defense in 2022 and beyond.
