One of Alabama’s biggest strengths heading into the 2018 season looks to be the team’s offensive line. That’s the good news. The bad news? The depth of that unit looks to be tested early on in the season as returning starting right tackle Matt Womack will reportedly be out several weeks following a practice injury.

News of this injury was first reported by Charlie Potter of Bama Online/247Sports. Womack started 14 games for the Crimson Tide last season at right tackle as a redshirt sophomore but opened training camp as the team’s backup right tackle.

Per the report, Womack cracked a bone in his foot with a return timeline “roughly” six weeks out.

If Womack is out for a significant amount of time, look for sophomore Jedrick Willis or sophomore Alex Leatherwood to potentially serve as the starting right tackle for the Crimson Tide this season for the opener against Louisville in Orlando.
