Media reacts to Alabama's blowout win over Texas A&M
It was an interesting game for a while, then Alabama stepped on the gas and left Texas A&M in the dust with a resounding victory on Saturday in Tuscaloosa.
Texas A&M tied the game in the first half with two touchdowns in less than two minutes. But Alabama cruised from there, with big plays telling the story. A late touchdown to John Metchie III tied a career-high for Mac Jones with four TDs. That play also sent the Crimson Tide over 500 total yards in the game.
Here is a sampling of the media reaction to the Tide’s big win:
Mac Jones and this Alabama offense looks like it belongs in the Big 12.

Alabama is averaging a ridiculous 10.5 yards/play. The highest Texas A&M has allowed in a full game under Jimbo Fisher was 8.59 yards/play … at Alabama in 2018.

Texas A&M: hey guys we can get this to a two score game here
Alabama: [bombs 87 yard TD pass, laughs]

Alabama 42
Texas A&M 17 in the 3rd.
Nick Saban about to go 20-0 against former assistant coaches at Jimbo Fisher’s expense, which is one of his most impressive achievements when you think about it.
And A&M again does not look like a ready for prime-time player.— Scott Rabalais (@RabalaisAdv) October 3, 2020
HALFTIME: Alabama 35 Texas A&M 14
— Kellen Mond continues to be the same QB us Aggies have known for years … and that’s not a compliment
— Jimbo is getting out coached by Saban … but isn’t everyone?
— The Texas A&M secondary has consistently been the worst FOR-EV-ER!!!

Saban vs Jimbo isn’t a fair fight

Whewwwww, Jaylen Waddle. What a burner.

If Texas A&M can’t stay within 3 TDs of Alabama this year when the Aggies have like 15 returning starters, a 4-year starter at QB & 4 senior O-linemen, when exactly is it going to happen before Saban retires?

Can we stop ranking Texas A&M preseason now & pretending they’re worth a damn?

Mac Jones’ 372 passing yards today, with time left to play, are the 12th-most in school history.
