Montana Fouts is already an Alabama legend, no matter what happens next year. She could use her extra COVID year of eligibility, but that’s not a guarantee at this point.
On Saturday, she pitched 2 games for Alabama against the Cardinal, facing elimination from the NCAA Softball Tournament in each game.
After winning the first game 4-0, she took the circle again. But, with 242 pitches thrown, after pitching on Saturday, she finally wore down and gave up some runs, exiting the game for perhaps the last time this season down 5-0:

Barring a miracle comeback, Alabama’s 2022 season will come to an end on Sunday. Fouts was a huge part of the Tide’s success this year. She was also a workhorse during the regionals:

Now, we’ll see what she decides to do for her future. Fans will be anxiously awaiting a decision.
