Nate Oats reveals Senior Day plans at Alabama ahead of South Carolina game

Nate Oats and Alabama will take on South Carolina on Saturday, and the Alabama men’s basketball coach has revealed how the Crimson Tide will celebrate Senior Day.
Alabama will honor Jahvon Quinerly, Keon Ellis and James Rojas on Senior Day this Saturday. “We’re planning on this being their last year with us. Obviously with the COVID (waiver) thing, things are different. Who knows what happens,” the coach said on “The Nate Oats Show.” “We’re going to honor those guys because they’re all seniors and have graduated, or will graduate.”
Rojas has come back from 2 knee surgeries, and Oats described him as a “winner” for overcoming so much adversity. Ellis is effective on offense, and doesn’t take bad shots, Oats said. Quinerly was a big part of what Alabama did last year, and is beginning to hit his stride.
As we’ve learned the last couple of years, Senior Days are much different these days, and programs choose different routes to honor their seniors.
Nate Oats on Noah Gurley’s future: “He (Noah Gurley) told us this past week that he is going to come back next year. We are super happy to get him back. I think he is going to be dynamite next year with a year under his belt.”
