Middle linebackers don’t often go very high in the NFL Draft, but that could change this year.

Alabama LB Reuben Foster is anticipated to be a top pick, maybe even in the top 10, according to some analysts.

According to NFL.com draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah, Foster should hear his name called early in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft:

Every NFL team I’ve talked to loves his game and has him rated extremely high. I’ve seen him play live several times and I’ve studied his tape — he’s the real deal. I’ll be shocked if he doesn’t come off the board within the first 10 selections in the 2017 draft. He’s a difference maker.

Foster has 94 tackles and five sacks so far this season, with the potential to play two more games depending on the Dec. 31 Peach Bowl result.

After that, the senior will turn his attention to the NFL Draft, where he’ll have a chance to shoot up draft boards before April.
