Pittsburgh crowd goes wild as Najee Harris highlighted during Penguins playoff game
Najee Harris hasn’t even taken the field for the Steelers in a meaningful game yet but the standout running back from Alabama is already a fan-favorite in the Steel City.
Pittsburgh selected Harris in the first round, with the No. 24 overall selection, in the 2021 NFL Draft after he racked up 4,624 yards of total offense and 57 touchdowns during his four seasons in Tuscaloosa.
Incredibly, Harris touched the ball 719 times at Alabama and lost only one fumble during his four seasons with the Crimson Tide.
It’s incredible stats like that from Harris which impressed the Steelers enough to draft him in the first round and Pittsburgh fans have clearly been won over by the pick as the running back’s recent appearance at a Penguins playoff game resulted in quite the reaction from the home fans.
Here is a video of Harris supporting his new local hockey team.
