Nick Saban is asking for Alabama fans to remain supportive of the program during this difficult first season under coach Kalen DeBoer.

Alabama has already dropped 2 games so far this season, most recently against Tennessee in Knoxville on Saturday night. The Crimson Tide faithful have been frustrated with the performances in several games this season, but Saban is asking for fans to stick with the program during this year of transition.

“I’m a fan now. So I think the message that I would give to everybody is, the most important thing all of us can do as fans for Alabama is to be supportive,” Saban said at an event on Monday. “Support the program, support the players, the coaches.

“That will enhance us to be able to have the best solution in transition. Because it’s always a difficult transition when you have a fairly successful program and somebody else comes in. It’s very challenging. So I’ve been very supportive of the players, the coaches, the team, the university in every way that I can. And I’m going to continue to do that and I would encourage others to do the same.”
