Turns out Nick Saban enjoys his Sunday evening HBO viewing like many of the rest of us.

While this news may come as a surprise to many, the Alabama coach admitted he’s a big “Game of Thrones” fan during his Wednesday appearance on WJOX 94.5 FM program “The Roundtable” and when asked how he rates the final season of the show, four episodes into the season, Saban weighed in on HBO’s hit show.

“Oh, I love it. I mean, it had to come to this. Somebody is going to win, somebody is going to lose, that’s the way it always goes,” Saban said from Birmingham’s Regions Tradition. “Everybody has probably got somebody that they are rooting for, which is how it goes, too. It will be interesting to see how it winds up.”

Saban was then asked to predict how he thinks the show will end when the finale airs in less than two weeks.

“I don’t know, I think in some kind of way, Jon Snow is going to wiggle his way in there, even though he won’t try, it will just end up that way,” Saban offered up.

That seems to be the logical choice of many but the biggest revelation from this exchange isn’t who Saban thinks sits on the throne by the final episode, it’s the fact that he watches the show on Sunday evening like so many others. The Weather Channel must be on re-runs late on Sunday evening.
