Nick Saban laments 'no continuity' on offense as Alabama struggles continue
Nick Saban at halftime of the South Florida game told the Crimson Tide Sports Network that the Crimson Tide “have no continuity on offense.”
He also added that Alabama has not had any consistent drives.
“We’ve not made any explosive plays & missed a couple of shots,” he said. “They’re blitzing every down so we’ve got to do a better job of handling that taking place and make (them) pay for it.”
Alabama had 8 first downs and was 3-for-9 on 3rd down conversions in the first half of the 3-3 game at South Florida, which was delayed for about an hour because of weather.
Alabama used 2 quarterbacks, Tyler Buchner and Ty Simpson, as Buchner started the game and replaced Jalen Milroe after Milroe threw 2 interceptions last week in the loss to Texas. But overall, Alabama had just 34 passing yards on 5-of-17 passing. However, the rushing attack was 79 yards on 18 carries.
Jase McClellan was the lone bright spot with 10 carries for 70 yards in the first half.
Isaiah Bond led the receivers with 3 catches for 28 yards.
