Lane Kiffin and Nick Saban didn’t always see eye-to-eye when Kiffin was working as an assistant under Saban at Alabama. In fact, there were a couple of infamous “ass-chewings” given to Kiffin by his then-boss.
Now, Kiffin is the head coach at Ole Miss and is preparing to face the Crimson Tide on Saturday. There has been some playful back-and-forth between the 2 coaches, but on Wednesday, Saban had plenty of praise for Kiffin, too.
During his Wednesday press conference, Saban said he thinks Kiffin has done a good job as a head coach and he always thought Kiffin would be a good head coach:
Nick Saban on Lane Kiffin:
"I think he's done a really good job. I always thought he'd be a really good head coach and I think he has been. The product on the field he's put out has been really good in the last few years and so far this year they've played extremely well."

Kiffin picked up his first win at Ole Miss last week in a thriller over Kentucky. Can he become the first former Saban assistant to beat him?
That 20-0 record is daunting, but Kiffin has a good team in Oxford this year. We’ll see what happens on Saturday night.
