Nick Saban is one of the greatest football coaches of all time. The former Alabama head coach won 7 titles across his career, 6 of which during his tenure with the Crimson Tide.
But just because he’s retired doesn’t mean he’s out of football. This year is Saban’s first on College GameDay as an analyst after hanging up the cleats last season. The weekly pregame show is in Tuscaloosa for Week 5’s top 5 matchup between No. 2 Georgia and No. 4 Alabama at Byrant-Denny Stadium.
Alabama fans made sure Saban received the warmest of welcomes back to the place where he built his legend. Check it out below:

Alabama vs. Georgia is sure to deliver. The betting lines have moved nonstop across the past week, but Georgia is currently a slight favorite (-1.5) according to FanDuel.
This year’s matchup, for reasons we’ve covered above, is just different. Alabama is now coached by Kalen DeBoer, who led Washington to the title game last season. Georgia is still led by Kirby Smart, but the Bulldogs have some questions marks after a poor showing 2 weeks ago against Kentucky. Typical Georgia lapse as they’ve had in the past or a sign of true troubles in Athens? Perhaps we’ll see today.
GameDay makes their weekly picks for Week 5 just before games kick off at Noon. I bet we know who Coach Saban will choose.
