Nick Saban reacts to Alabama's blowout win over Mississippi State
Nick Saban was more pleased with how Alabama played this week in a dominating 49-9 victory at Mississippi State.
The Crimson Tide got 7 sacks and 9 tackles for a loss in the win, which was a convincing effort after a last-second loss at Texas A&M last week. Alabama held State to a 7-for-16 clip on third down conversions.
In a candid moment, Saban laughed and told reporters when he was asked about calling a timeout ahead of 1 yard TD run on third-and-goal that he, “doesn’t want to throw anyone under the bus.”
Here’s a sampling of what Saban told the media after the game:
Nick Saban: “I was really, really proud of the way our players competed in the game. … We played a 60-minute game, sort dominated in the game.”
