Nick Saban responds to offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian's departure
Alabama head coach Nick Saban is once again looking for an offensive coordinator thanks to Steve Sarkisian’s sudden departure from the program. After serving in the role for only one game, Sarkisian has already been named the new Atlanta Falcons offensive coordinator.

Following the news, Saban released the following statement in response to the news:
“We appreciate all Coach Sarkisian did for our program during his time here. He is an outstanding coach, and we wish him the best in his new role as Atlanta’s offensive coordinator. As always, when we have an opening on our staff, we will use it as an opportunity to go out and hire the best coach available.”
Now the question centers around who the Tide will hire as the team’s new offensive coordinator. At this point, the options seem wide open.
Who would you like to see Alabama hire to run its offense?
Locksley: Good recruiter, former Head coach/O-Cord.
No thanks, we can do better.
not your call
If this is the case, then Saban has had a little time to think about who he wants next. This is going to be an interesting hire.
I dont know. Saban is a mother’fer to work for. Who is gonna swollow their pride in order to work with the man? Gonna have to be a young coach. No older established coach is gonna be willing to put up with all Sabans B.S. and rants.
With Nick Saban, the terms “BS” and “rants” don’t really apply.
“Impossibly high standards” is the term.
Not to disagree with you here. But ‘likeableness’ isn’t a requirement of a good leader. Every coach has his pitfall(s). The question remains, though, is which coach can build and lead his program to a championship. My second sentence comes from Abraham Lincoln.

Art Briles? Would Coach Saban dare to go there?
I logged in just to tell you how stupid that suggestion is. I can’t even fathom how you think that would be a good hire. Every single day we hear new terrible stuff from his time at Baylor.
No way, but Kendal Briles…maybe? Although nobody knows how good he is without his dad around.
How cryptic that a booger throws up a Briles.
Ahh, the lovefest in the family of Lee County is officially over?
Heck no. Plain and simple we do not want that piece of garbage.
Locksey was a co-OC, so he now can run the offense while the booger eater ruins the Falcons offense, and goes back to the bottle.
Sabah has time. Signing day is done and spring practice has a while yet. He can be choosy. I would be willing to bet the email/fax are blowing up with “hire me resumes”, hard to work with or not.
As long as Saban is there, it doesn’t matter who they hire. They’re going to look good, because they’re going to win.
