Nick Saban lamented the penalties and general mismanagement in the win over Texas A&M on Saturday.
A jovial Saban smiled and chuckled after the win as Alabama stayed in control of winning the SEC West.
Alabama had 14 penalties that rang up 99 yards, the Crimson Tide also had 2 turnovers and were 4-for-12 on 3rd down.
“This may be the record game for me, in terms of messing up and still winning,” Saban said. “A new record, if you take the mess-ups and penalties and add them all together. But, then you look at the other side of that, what kind of resiliency and ability to overcome adversity does somebody have, when you’re taking about the type of competitive spirit that you have on your team? I’d take that any day, because we can fix the other stuff.”

Saban added that Alabama needs “to be able to fix those things so we don’t help the other team.”
