Nick Saban says he's happy Tide didn't eat rat poison before 'trap game'
Nick Saban and his team didn’t fall for the notion that Kentucky was a trap game.
Saban was glad that his team didn’t “eat rat poison” ahead of the game in regards to it being a trap. Alabama handled its business and beat Kentucky 49-21 on Saturday in Lexington.
Saban himself called it a trap game. Alabama moved to 9-1 after the big win.
“I was really pleased that the team didn’t buy into the rat poison or whatever you want to call it,” said Saban. “I actually think this was a little bit of a trap game.”
The Crimson Tide and Wildcats played for the first time since 2020 and have now won 8 straight games against Kentucky.
The Crimson Tide kept rolling at Kroger Field. Jalen Milroe had 6 touchdowns and 234 yards passing. Milroe had a part in nearly every score.
Alabama returns home to Tuscaloosa to face Chattanooga next before the Iron Bowl with Auburn on Nov. 25.
