Nick Saban assured Alabama fans that the signs won’t be changing too much for the Rose Bowl given Michigan’s past.

The program made headlines after being involved in a sign stealing scandal. Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh was banned from the sidelines for the final 3 games of the regular season as a result of the investigation. He then returned to coach in the Big Ten Championship game against Iowa.

Saban was asked on Monday if Alabama would change its signs in light of Michigan’s sign-stealing saga this season.

“Not really. We always change things up a little bit,” said Saban. “We’re focused on what we have to do to get good execution. We’re not really concerned about any of that stuff.”

Alabama and Michigan meet for just the 6th time in series history on New Year’s Day. The Crimson Tide have won the last 2 meetings in 2020 and 2012.

The game is set for a 5 p.m. ET kickoff on ESPN, and the winner will play the Washington-Texas winner from the Sugar Bowl in the national championship in Houston.
