Despite major struggles since Bob Knight left, the Hoosiers are still considered by many to be a blue-blood program. Thus, there should be plenty of interest in the job opening.

One name to remove from Indiana’s search already: Nate Oats.
Sources say Oats has no desire to leave Alabama for Indiana for multiple reasons, one of the obvious ones being his recently signed contract extension that includes one of the biggest buyouts in CBB at present.

Indeed, Oats just landed a major contract extension. Plus, the Alabama program is currently in better shape than Indiana, as Oats just led the Tide to regular-season and SEC Tournament titles.
We’ll see who the Hoosiers hire, but it doesn’t sound like it will be Oats!
