As many people figured once the rankings came out, Alabama and Clemson are favored in the Rose Bowl and Sugar Bowl, respectively, as they look to advance to Miami and the Orange Bowl National Championship.

Circa Sports released opening lines that said Alabama is favored by 20 points over Notre Dame, while Clemson is a 7-point favorite over Ohio State.

Alabama and Notre Dame will meet in The Rose Bowl Game in Dallas on Jan. 1 at 5 p.m. ET after the game was moved from Pasadena, California because of crowd restrictions. The night cap will be Clemson and Ohio State in the Sugar Bowl at 8:45 p.m. Both games will air on ESPN.

Alabama went 11-0 and won another SEC championship, coach Nick Saban came from missing the Iron Bowl because of a positive for COVID-19 as he watched the team’s 42-13 win over Auburn from home.

Clemson is 10-1, with its one loss coming to Notre Dame in a game the Tigers played without quarterback Trevor Lawrence after he tested positive for COVID-19. Clemson avenged that loss in the ACC title game on Saturday.

The College Football Playoff National Championship will be played Jan. 11 at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida.
