On Monday, Nick Saban made headlines across the college football world when he didn’t announce a starting quarterback, or even a depth chart heading into Week 1 against Middle Tennessee State.

While many college football coaches don’t announce a depth chart, this is different for Saban. This was the first time in 17 years that he didn’t announce a depth chart.

Paul Finebaum was on the Matt Barrie Show, and he didn’t hold back on how Saban handled the situation.

“What I don’t like, and every time I say this people in Alabama get mad, I don’t like the bullying of the media,” Finebaum said. “Don’t bully people cause you can. Saban has made a career at Alabama and maybe elsewhere of bullying those who are weaker than him and don’t have the ability, and that’s just not a good look. That is my only complaint about this.”

The Crimson Tide host Middle Tennessee State on Saturday at 7:30p.m., and Alabama still hasn’t announced a quarterback yet. The expectation is 2, maybe 3, of the guys will play throughout that game.

However, Saban will be looking to decide on a quarterback very soon, because the Crimson Tide welcome in Texas to Tuscaloosa the following weekend.
